As many as 10 children were abducted and four women murdered in Saptari district during a year period.
The data was made public in a workshop organised by Creative International Forum (CIF) in Rajbiraj.
Of the total 13 cases of abduction occurred in Saptari from January 2010 to last week of June, 10 children became prey to abduction, stated a concept note presented by CIF.
Of the total, four children were abducted from district headquarter Rajbiraj. The whereabouts of a child Sajip Saha of Barahi, Birpur-5 of Saptari is still unknown.
Likewise, four women had to loss their lives to various types of violence during the period.
Among those killed in such incidents are Rita Mishra of Bhardaha VDC, Bibha Devi Mandal of Chinnamasta, Sushiladevi Ram of Malekpur and a girl namely Pooja working in a new Jina Restaurant operated in Shambhunath VDC.
Administrative Officer of District Administration Office, Saptari, Om Prakash Mahato said human rights and peace process will not witness improvements till political instability in the country.
