The parliamentary probe committee, formed earlier to investigate the budget information leakage before the budget announcement by the finance minister, today submitted the report to the chairman of Legislature-Parliament Subas Chandra Nembang.
Receiving the report, Nembang said the information on the leakage before the budget announcement was a wrong act and comments in the issue were raised.
He also said that the report will be made public after tabling in the today’s meeting of the Legislature-Parliament.
Nembang also said that it is necessary to pay attention to the suggestions given by the committee not to repeat such incidents in the future.
Committee’s coordinator, Laxman Ghimire, said the report was prepared by holding discussions with different stakeholders and suggestions also have been given not to repeat such incidents in the future as well.
He said suggestions have been given to deal with such serious issues carefully as the prior information leakage on budget was unfortunate and it can seriously affect the country’s economy.
The Legislature-Parliament had formed a 7-member committee on July 15 under the convenership of Ghimire.
