Party CC meet will be decisive: Gajurel

Secretary of the UCPN-Maoist CP Gajurel has said that party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal was confused in his capacity to lead the party unitedly.

Speaking at a program in Kamalamai Municipality-5 of Sindhuli on Tuesday morning, Gajurel said the upcoming party central committee meeting will decide whether or not the party will split.

He said, “We had not abandoned the revolutionary path. We had joined the peaceful politics to complete revolution through peace process and constitution writing. But, the party leadership betrayed and the revolution has remained incomplete. This has created dispute and division in the party.”

Gajurel however said that the way of revolution was changed as an effort to achieve the goal through peaceful politics. “Party leadership abandoned the path without making revolution a success.”

The Maoist secretary further said inquiry was underway regarding the role of Research Analysis Wing (RAW), India’s foreign intelligence agency, to quit the path of revolution by the Maoist party’s leadership.

He also accused the Bhattarai-led government of signing anti-nationalist deals including the four-point deal with the Madhes-based parties for the government formation and the Bilateral Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (BIPPA) with the government of India during prime minister’s India visit.
