Overview

Newsmandu (“Newsmandu”, “we”, “us”, or “our Company”) acting as data controller, is providing this privacy policy (hereinafter the “Privacy Policy”) to explain our online information practices regarding our website, email, notifications and related services (“Service”). This Privacy Policy applies only to the use and collection of data by us on the Service.

By using the Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and, if you provide us with information enabling to identify you either directly or indirectly (hereinafter “Personal Information”), you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not provide us with any Personal Information and do not use the Service.

Newsmandu reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a new or updated privacy policy through the Service. Personal Information We Collect And How We Use Your Personal Information

We collect Personal Information about you affirmatively provide to us, including, by way of example, your name, address, telephone number, and/or email address, and any other information that is not otherwise publicly available. You can choose not to provide us with your Personal Information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of many of the features our Service provides.

We will process your Personal Information in order to operate the Service and to better understand your needs, including by providing you with customized advertising, and how we can improve our products and services accordingly. In the event you are not willing to receive such information from us, you can in any case opt-out at any time by following the instructions in the information you received or by notifying us at opt-out@newsmandu.com.

Besides, we may process your Personal Information for the additional following purposes: (i) to protect and defend the rights of Newsmandu and its employees, the Service, or the users of the Service; (ii) as incident to a sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution, bankruptcy, or similar event; (iii) under circumstances we believe reasonably necessary to protect the personal safety of users of Newsmandu products, the Service, or the public; (iv) to complete any transaction initiated by you on the Service or to provide services or information to you; or (v) as is otherwise described in this Privacy Policy or to the extent that you otherwise consent to in writing.

Please note that your Personal Information may be shared with third parties: (i) our affiliates; (ii) third party service providers we hire to assist in the administration of the Service and/or the processing or handling of customer information (such service providers are required to maintain the confidentiality of user information and are prohibited from using it for any purpose other than as described in this Privacy Policy); (iii) competent authorities, as required by law, such as when compelled by subpoena or court order; (iv) third parties in charge of measuring the effectiveness of our programs and advertisements.

The information you provide will be maintained for a commercially reasonable period of time by Newsmandu for administrative, liability, and archival purposes, but in no event for longer than five (5) years after the termination of our contractual relationship.

We may also disclose the aggregate statistical data that we collect to third parties in order to allow them to measure the effectiveness of our programs and advertisements.

We may collect and store any “User Content” (as defined in our Terms and Conditions). We may retain and use User Content on our servers to improve performance and deliver media messages more efficiently, and to improve our services. We may disseminate User Content to users, customers, and services, including search engines, developers, and publishers, and organizations and firms that analyze the information for trends and insights. We may also use User Content to make inferences, such as inferences regarding topics of information you may be interested in.

We are free to use or distribute comments, emails, suggestions, or other communications sent by you to us in any way without compensation to the author, sender, or any other party.

We also may collect automatic information about how you use the Service for, among other things, the operation and improvement of the Service. Such automatic information can entail collection and processing of: browser information, operating system information, unique device identifiers or your IP address, referring site, visit metrics, action metrics, page view metrics, search metrics, and others.

This automatically collected information may be collected through technologies provided by third parties. Information that might be collected using these technologies includes, for example, the pages you visit on the Service, the paths you take within the Service, and the length of time that you spend on the Service. We use this information in the aggregate in order to better understand how to improve the quality of the Service.

As is common among Internet site operators, the operator of the Service maintains Web server logs. Web servers automatically identify your computer or mobile device by its IP address and collect that information in its Web server logs. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer or mobile device by your Internet service provider or mobile service provider whenever you log onto the World Wide Web or access the Internet. The Newsmandu Web server logs collect statistical data that is generated by your computer when it visits the Service, such as the type of Web browser and operating system used to access the Service, the domain name of your Internet service provider, the date and time you access the Service, and the pages you visit. Within the framework of the Service, we process this Web server log information for a variety of purposes. Some of these purposes include: system administration; examination of overall traffic trends on the Service; troubleshooting; and the collection of broad demographic information about users of the Service.

Cookies

Like many websites, the Service also uses a technology called cookies or similar technology referred to as pixel tags (collectively, “cookies”). A cookie is a small text file that a Web server gives your browser to store on your computer when you access a website. Cookies are capable of storing many types of data and may be placed on your browser by Newsmandu. We may also use cookies to store preferences; record session information; develop information about visitors’ preferences and interests; record past activity in order to provide better service when you return to the Service; or customize Web page content based on information you voluntarily provide.

The Service may contain links to third party websites. Please recognize that we do not control these third party websites, or how they may collect or use information that you may provide to them. Your use of third party websites, along with the use of any information that such websites may collect from you, are not governed by this Privacy Policy. You should consult each applicable privacy policy before using another linked website.

Do Not Track

Because we may use the information that we collect through the Service in the ways described in this Privacy Policy, we do not respond to “Do Not Track” requests or other similar mechanisms.

Security of data stored by Newsmandu

Newsmandu has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of information under our control. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, we cannot guarantee that our security measures will prevent third parties from illegally obtaining this information. You agree and acknowledge that Newsmandu shall not be liable or responsible if any information about you is intercepted, accessed, and/or used by an unintended recipient. If you have reason to believe that the security of your communications or Personal Information has been compromised, please immediately notify us at: privacy@newsmandu.com

Collection of Personal Information from or about children

The Service is not intended or designed to attract children under the age of 13. If you are 13 years old or older but under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service provided the holder of parental responsibility over you has given his/her consent.

We do not knowingly collect or process Personal Information from persons under age 13. If we learn that we have collected the personally identifying information of a user under the age of 13 without obtaining the prior consent of the holder of parental responsibility over him/her, we will take steps to delete the concerned information.

If you are a parent and you think we have inadvertently collected and processed Personal Information from your child who is under 13 (or under the age of majority where you live), you may contact us by sending an email to privacy@newsmandu.com to request that we delete his or her information from our records.

Transfer and Storage of your Personal Information

Your Personal Information can be delivered to servers located in a different country than the one you are located in.

With respect to the entities of the Newsmandu located in the European Economic Area, you authorize these entities to transfer, store, and use your Personal Information to the United States and other countries where we operate. Please note that, in some of these countries, the privacy and data protection laws and rules regarding when government authorities may access data may vary from those in the country where you live.

In order to ensure that, within the framework of the abovementioned transfers, an appropriate level of data protection is ensured regarding your Personal Information, Newsmandu has implemented relevant safeguards to provide an adequate level of protection

By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of this personally identifying information and non-personally identifying information and to our use of such information as outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you are located in a country embargoed by the United States, you will not engage in commercial activities using the Service. You will not use the Service if you are prohibited from receiving products, services, or software originating from the United States.

Your Rights
